Last year saw a seismic shift in the family festival season. More than 50 festivals cancelled or took a break. With lots of “comeback” festivals and new ones too, 2025 promises to be a fantastic year to take your kids to a festival.
If you are worried you’ll find this list overwhelming or meaningless because you have no idea of which festival you should go to, I can help you out there too. Our sister site has a great FREE download that will help you work out what your family wants from a festival and to discover which festivals offer it.
We only include festivals once they’ve announced their 2025 dates and updated their websites, so I’ll be regularly updating this list. If you have any comments or festivals you’d like including, drop me an email, joanna@familyfestivalplanner.com.
And so, without further ado, onto the festivals.....

To be confirmed!
There are so many kids’ festivals popping up and burning out all the time, it’s hard to ensure this list is fully up to date. We’ll do everything we can to check we are giving out accurate information, but please always check the festival’s official website for the latest.
We’ve visited many of these festivals with kids, but we definitely haven’t been to all of them. So if we’ve got something wrong, please don’t hesitate to let us know.

Plus festivals aren’t cheap, and if you choose the wrong one, they can be downright stressful.
As a busy parent, you want to give your family the best experience possible, so we’ve developed a must-have guide to help you do just that!
With it, picking the perfect festival for your kids is a total doddle.
You can download the guide for FREE right now. Used together with this list, it’ll help you take the first step in discovering the amazing family adventure that is going to a weekend family festival.

(Full disclosure: if I know that festivals try to pay performers with “tickets” or “exposure” I won’t include them in this list. Everyone deserves a living wage and performers are no different).
